I have been intrigued, since I was a child, about locks and what may hide behind them. As I have grown up I have learned the importance of them. In most cases they are used to either keep people out or keep people in. I have also seen the effects of forgetting to use one or not having one at all. The most common result of this being tragedy and loss. In this series of work I hope to be able to express the feeling of the one of the simplest things that can bring the greatest feeling of safety, peace, and protection from things outside and in and even at times feelings of uneasiness and uncertainty because of what it hides
